OBJECTIVES

  • By the end of 2010, 100% of our students will meet or exceed state standards in Math and Reading
  • All students will develop and consistently demonstrate the character traits of respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, honesty, fairness and citizenship
  • Each student will complete a personalized plan in the areas of academics, creative arts and career exploration

Program Description or Goals:
  1. To provide student services
  2. Teach Character Counts throughout the building
  3. We reward students with gifts from our Character Counts store who display the six Character Counts traits.
  4. We enforce the handbook that has been approved by the school board and the union.
  5. Arrange teacher and parent conferences.
  6. We service the homeless.
  7. We also implement the Emergency Crisis and Response Plan.

Achievements or Success stories:
We see an improvement in our students' behavior and referral rate due to our Character Counts reward system and zero referral field trips.
