Program/Curriculum Description or Goals:
Goals For General Music
The basic goals for general music K-6 are to provide every student with the opprotunity to:
A. Develop an understanding of the basic elements of music as well as the aesthetic aspects of music.
B. Develop discriminating musical tastes based on musical judgement.
C. Develop an awareness of our cultural heritage as well as the heritaage of other people throug music.
D. Develop an understanding of test items on state and local assessments related to music and it's relationship to the other Fine Arts.
